Camilla Comes to London: A New Beachwear Pop-Up at Harrods

The temperature may be dropping in London but for those looking forward to some winter sun, there’s a glamourous new beachwear brand in Knightsbridge

Camilla Frank launched her eponymous beachwear brand in 2004, specialising in vibrant poolside pieces inspired by her Australian heritage and globetrotting adventures. Her free-spirited, bohemian aesthetic has found fans in Beyoncé and Natasha Oakley, who Frank believes perfectly embody the glamour and carefree exuberance of the label. 

Frank was previously a costume designer and theatrical drama flavours her collections of floor-skimming beach dresses, wafting kaftans, plunging, cut-out swimsuits, modern playsuits and bomber jackets, crafted from printed slik.

This month, Frank brings a slice of Bondi Beach to Harrods by opening her first London concession at the prestigious department store. Both beguiling and sophisticated, the pop-up boutique mirrors Camilla’s Australian outposts, wrapped in vivid prints and scattered with globetrotting trinkets. 

The launch of Camilla in Harrods is reflective of the current trend for Aussie-cool labels in London. Camilla joins the likes of Maurie & Eve, Seafolly and One Teaspoon, but be warned: one visit to Camilla at Harrods and you may find you at home, eagerly booking your next tropical getaway.
