Chelsea in Bloom Brings a Floral Safari to SW London

Get ready to take a walk on the wild side. The savanna comes to Sloane Square for Chelsea in Bloom 2017 (23-27 May 2017)

March winds and April showers bring May flowers, and nowhere is this more true than in Chelsea this week. Chelsea in Bloom returns for its 12th year, transforming the neighbourhood into a resplendent celebration of floral art, in honour of RHS Chelsea Flower Show (23-27 May 2017).

This year’s theme is Floral Safari, bringing a wild parade of elephants, giraffes, lions and leopards to the heart of Chelsea, as local boutiques transform their storefronts with decorative installations, festooned with vibrant flowers. The event will be judged by the Royal Horticultural Society, in addition to style blogger, Liberty London Girl and Luxury London’s very own Mhairi Graham.

Floral displays start on Sloane Street and continue along the King’s Road, in addition to Cadogan Gardens, Pavilion Road and towards Chelsea Flower Show. Each boutique will be judged on its creative interpretation of the theme, taking into consideration style, skill and relevance.

Who will win this year’s floral crown? There will be 51 competitors including Club Monaco, Jimmy Choo, Red Valentino and Annoushka and if it’s anything like previous years, expect astounding floral arrangements, creative surprises and a hearty dash of joie de vivre.

Voting will go live on Tuesday 23 May and close at midnight on Thursday 25 May. The winner will be announced on Friday 26 May; www.chelseainbloom.co.uk
