Eve’s Watch, a watch magazine strictly for women, is back with its awards, after such a successful first year in 2016. The Awards are designed to honour brands that are creating pioneering watch designs and the achievements of the talented women in the world of horology.
This year, in association with Urb-it, on-demand lifestyle shopping app, judges selected over 50 brands across 12 categories including Best Design, Best High Jewellery, Best Newcomer and the Popular Choice Vote, a category voted for by the general public. By voting, you have the opportunity to win a luxury weekend break at The Bloomsbury, London. All you have to do is nominate your favourite watch brand before the midnight on 16 October, simple.
The judging panel is an esteemed board of women, including Tracey Llewlleyn, deputy global editorial director of Revolution Press, Elizabeth Doerr, editor-in-chief of QuillAndPad.com and Dr Rebecca Struthers, managing director of Struthers London.
Larissa Trew, publisher of Eve’s Watch’s, speaks about the reason behind starting these awards: “It comes from the same reason behind us starting Eve’s Watch – no one was celebrating women’s watches. There have been so many incredible launches over the last few years, with brands really upping their game in terms of offering women timepieces but no one was standing up and shouting about this. So, once again, it was down to us to take up the mantle.”
