An interior dream come true: dress your home in Gucci from September with a joyous new décor collection, from feline furniture to evocative home scents
Stop everything you’re doing. Alessandro Michele has announced the launch of Gucci Décor, a premium collection of homeware available from September. The catwalk-inspired line encapsulates Gucci’s mesmeric, maximalist world of bold colours, bohemian prints and creatures galore, spanning furniture, crockery and candles.
The exuberant Gucci garden of blooming flowers, bees, butterflies, cats and cockerels is reimagined on vivid metal trays, tassel-trimmed cushions and porcelain teapots, produced by renowned Florentine porcelain house, Richard Ginori.
Elsewhere, add instant character to any room with a folding silk screen, boldly patterned in a myraid of prints, or opt for a chair with serious flair, wonderfully upholstered in embroidered velvet. Luxurious wallpaper is also available in silk, vinyl and paper, featuring a much-loved floral print from Michelle's first Autumn/Winter 2015 collection.
"Michele's collection of items for interiors is intended to allow for a flexible and personal approach to decoration, bringing an accent of Gucci’s contemporary romanticism into the home," read the press release. "They epitomise Michele’s imaginative notion that if you make pieces easily moveable, you can constantly dress and re-dress your environment."
Like Gucci’s ready-to-wear and accessory collections, you can expect a colourful cornucopia of dazzling prints and whimsical motifs, rife with playful surprises and sumptuous details. Prices will range from £150 for a candle rising to £23,000 for a screen and will be available in-store and online from September.
