Fashion from the front line: memorable moments from London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017
Henry Moore sculptures at Burberry, chainmail at J.W. Anderson and a Hadid sister sandwich at VERSUS Versace. For Autumn/Winter 2017, London Fashion Week once again served up a diverse, uplifting selection of cutting-edge talent, A-list attendees and all-night, after-show parties.
With inspirations ranging from raving club kids (Versace) to tweed-clad country pursuits (Mulberry) and factory girls (Christopher Kane), London Fashion Week was more varied than ever this season. Common themes emerged amid the diversity however, including off-shoulder cuts, capes, billowing pleats and otherworldly metallic textures. Elsewhere, Roland Mouret celebrated twenty years in the business with a seductive homecoming, attended by an A-list fan club including Daisy Lowe, Erin O’Connor and Olivia Palermo.
