Kate Moss hosts a party in Mayfair to mark her first jewellery collection in collaboration with Brazilian designer Ara Vartanian
It may have been lashing with rain last night in London, but that didn’t stop a phalanx of stars turning out to support Kate Moss’s new jewellery collaboration with Brazilian designer and good friend, Ara Vartanian.
Liv Tyler, Alice Naylor-Leyland and Jo Wood were among guests who gathered at the fine jeweller’s handsome flagship home on Bruton Place in Mayfair for an evening of Copper Dog whisky cocktails, followed by an intimate dinner at Isabel by Casa Cruz, attended by Sadie Frost, Courtney Love and Karen Elson.
Vartanian is renowned for his resplendent gemstone designs with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. The Brazillian designer met Moss in 2014 and it was the supermodel who convinced Vartanian to open his first store in London in 2016. The new, collaborative collection is inspired old English legends and the mystic, infused with laidback glamour.
Moons, stars and medieval motifs are reimagined as earrings, pendants and rings, set with vivid stones including ruby, amethyst and garnet, in addition to black and white diamonds. Our favourite? A single sword earring crafted in 18 carat white gold and dotted with black diamonds, inspired by the legendary blade used by St George, Patron Saint of England, to mythically slay a dragon.
