Burberry brings together revered British photographers to present a portrait of Britain, to mark a new collection for men and women
Burberry continues its new-found tradition of building an immersive exhibition space for London Fashion Week, which will open to the public following the Burberry show on Saturday 16 September. This season. Burberry presents Here We Are – a photography exhibition curated by Christopher Bailey alongside a revered team including writer Lucy Kumara Moore and photographer Alasdair McLellan.
The photographic showcase will take over three floors of Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell and is reflective of the new collection for men and women, which is inspired by British social portraiture.
Works on show include never-before-seen prints by Shirley Baker and Ken Russell; Karen Knorr’s portrayal of Belgravia in 1979; Charlie Phillips’s photographs of his local Notting Hill community and Brian Griffin’s unconventional portraits of British businessmen.
As per previous years, Thomas’s Café will run a pop-up at Old Sessions House, offering all-day salads, light bites and refreshments.
