Dunhill’s new creative director Mark Weston unveils his debut menswear collection for the luxury British brand
Dunhill opened Friday night's shows with a sophisticated bounty that covered both Autumn/Winter 2017 and Spring/Summer 2018, accompanied by copious champagne and VIP guests including Tom Daley, Lennon Gallagher and David Haye.
It is the first collection under the new reign of CEO Andrew Maag and creative director Mark Weston (both formerly of Burberry). Weston mined the Dunhill archives, drawing on a resplendent history of refined British tailoring, injected with contemporary touches.
While under new leadership, constants remain: luxuriously tactile fabrics, like merino blousons with fur-trimmed collars, cashmere overcoats and seductive, velvet eveningwear; failsafe suiting and handsome accessories, including folios, wallets and ties in a bold new diamond print. “A quiet revolution,” read the show notes. Gentlemen, get in line.
