Louis Vuitton unveils the Tambour Horizon, with the modern explorer in mind
Louis Vuitton has long been a hallmark of luxury travel and this week, the Parisian fashion house adds to its jetset portfolio with its first-ever smartwatch. The latest addition to Louis Vuitton’s 15-year-old Tambour line is the Tambour Horizon, with state-of-the-art, touchscreen technology.
Designed in Paris and crafted in Switzerland, the pioneering wristwatch deploys technology developed in California’s Silicon Valley, which for the very first time can be used anywhere in the world.
It offers GMT functionality across all 24 time zones and includes an exclusive ‘My Flight’ app, which monitors the status and details of your flight, from departure gate to arrival time. It also taps into the esteemed Louis Vuitton ‘City Guide’ series, allowing instant access to an LV-approved selection of hotels, restaurants, shops, museums and landmarks.
The innovative, waterproof wristwatch comes with expected smartphone technology, from message and call notifications to weather reports and a step counter. Like its Tambour predecessors, the compact wristwatch is designed for everyday use. Wearers can also choose between 60 detachable straps and customise the watch face for a truly unique and personal accessory.
