Harrods new RE-EDITIONS fine watch takeover showcases exceptional timepieces from 10 of the world’s leading watch brands
All fine watch houses have a hallmark. For Cartier, it’s the unmistakable panther motif, dating back to 1914; at Jaeger-LeCoultre, it’s the iconic Art Deco Reverso watch, first created in 1931 for British Army polo players. The exuberant Excalibur watch is emblematic of Roger Dubuis.
These defining characteristics are celebrated in a new fine watch summer exhibition at Harrods in Knightsbridge. Titled RE-EDITIONS, ten leading watch brands from the Harrods portfolio have each produced an archival-inspired re-edition of a timepiece that is integral to the brand’s heritage and style, all of which are exclusively available to purchase instore and many of which are limited edition.
Harrods has devoted its Brompton Road windows to these watches – an impressive feat given the diminutive dimensions of each timepiece. The result is an immersive, enthralling collection of looping videos, campaign imagery and installations, which culminates with the first public exhibition of the McLaren 570S Spider, to accompany the RM 50-03 Tourbillon Split Seconds Chronograph Ultralight McLaren F1 by Richard Mille, the world’s lightest ever mechanical tourbillon created in partnership with the famed Formula 1 automaker.
The dynamic display celebrates the intricate craftsmanship, captivating innovation and fanatic passion of the world’s most revered watch brands, and secures Harrods' position as a horological destination in London. Scroll down to discover London’s finest wrist companions.
