"Red Red Wine, you make me feel so fine; you keep me rocking all of the time.”
It’s official, after crooning about the rich tipple for more than 30 years, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue has launched a bottle of Red, Red Wine. The limited edition cuvée has been created in partnership with Eminent Life, a company dedicated to celebrating excellence in music and the arts.
Red Red Wine was originally written by Neil Diamond in 1967, before UB40 released a reggae rendition in 1983 to global acclaim. It has since been listened to a whopping six million times.
The red wine is a subtle blend of two grape varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, vinified especially for UB40
The red wine release coincides with the launch of UB40’s new album, Unplugged, which is an acoustic collection by Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue featuring hits including I Got You Babe and Kingston Town.
The wine in question is a subtle blend of two grape varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, vinified especially for UB40. It can appreciated within the first few years after bottling, and can be cellared for up to 15 years.
We challenge you to raise a glass of the full-bodied, fruity wine without humming along to the iconic tune at the same time.
