William & Son collaborates with Gemfields on MYA, its debut Haute Joaillerie collection
When Kate Middleton stepped out in March wearing an emerald green Temperley gown at the National Portrait Gala sponsored by William & Son, little did we know that the Duchess of Cambridge was foretelling the hue of choice for the luxury lifestyle brand.
This month, William & Son unveils MYA, a one-of-a-kind fine jewellery collection made with responsibly sourced, vivid Zambian emeralds. It is the House’s first Haute Joaillerie collection and has been created in collaboration with Gemfields, a leading supplier of sustainably sourced, coloured gemstones.
MYA, short for Million Years Ago, is the unit of time referred to in geology for measuring the age of a gemstone. The collection pays homage to the origin and extraordinary journey of rare stones, transforming rugged rock formations into scintillating diamonds.
The star of this one-of-a-kind collection is a diamond encrusted necklace that wraps around the neck to sit gently beneath the collar bone, completed by two radiant emerald stones. This is complemented by a glittering ring and matching earrings that can be worn either as drops or climbers. It’s a collection guaranteed to send those around you absolutely emerald green with envy.
