World Gin Day 2017: Things To Do In London This Weekend (10-11 June 2017)

Get in the (juniper-flavoured) spirit for World Gin Day this Saturday 10 June

As Winston Churchill once said, “The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen's lives, and minds, than all the doctors in the Empire.” This Saturday 10 June marks World Gin Day – a day dedicated to gin, glorious gin, with a host of special events taking place across London.

Junipalooza gin festival returns to Tobacco Dock this weekend for two days of gin-soaked fun, featuring more than 50 distillers from across the world. Elsewhere, Bon Vivant in Kings Cross is hosting a ‘gin-credible’ brunch with live DJs and unlimited cocktails, while Beefeater Gin is throwing an all-day party in Kennington, with live music, street food and entertainment.

The Hoxton in Shoreditch is hosting a pop-up G&T ice-cream parlour on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 June, offering bespoke gin and tonics with a wide selection of botanicals and garnishes, including mango, black pepper, triple orange and rosemary. Each G&T will be served with a free, matching G&T ice-cream of your own creation.

Finally, explore a wide selection of gin on 31DOVER.com, including slick new arrival, Fisher’s Gin, which is made from rare, foraged ingredients and housed in the prettiest gin bottle we ever did see.

The Bon Vivant brunch is priced at £24 per person, with bottomless gin for an £18 add on; www.designmynight.com
The Beefeater World Gin Day House Party will take place over two sessions on Saturday 10 June 2017, from 1.30pm until 3.30pm and 3.30pm until 5.30pm; from £5 per ticket; www.eventbrite.co.uk
