In homage to the iconic timepiece TIPO CP-2, Zenith has produced a modern version, the Heritage Cronometro Tipo CP-2, which is latest addition to the Heritage collection.
Just 2,500 TIPO CP-2s were produced by Zenith for the Italian armed forces in the 1930s. The chronograph featured two counters in its initial version and its 43 mm diameter ensured a degree of legibility that was essential for pilots.
Such was its popularity that watch manufacture Zenith has issued a new 1,000-piece limited series of its historic chronograph. This new version features the most iconic movement: the Zenith El Primero, which beats to the rhythm of 36,000 vibrations per hour, and an automatic winding with a 50-hour reserve.
